‘Weekly Post. Anno Domini 2022 November 30
Beloved of the Lord:
To-day is Wednesday, 30 November, in the year of our Lord 2022. The scheduled services are as-follows:
- Wednesday (today): 12:10 PM, Sung Mass with incense, Feast of S. Andrew, Apostle & Martyr.
- Thursday ~ Saturday: NO SERVICES.
- Sunday: 8:30 & 10:00 AM, Morning Prayer (Said at 8:30; Sung at 10:00).
- Monday-Tuesday: NO SERVICES.
- Wednesday: 12:10 PM, Mass, S. Ambrose, Bishop, Confessor, Doctor.
(Usual service schedule resumes, from this day forward.)
PLEASE take close note of the service schedule, printed-above, as there are a number of variations from our regular rota. My usual trip to Oregon over the Thanksgiving holiday was quite nice, though the return flight was severely disrupted, forcing me to return to the Tidewater at Midnight on Saturday, not my preferred arrival-time, considering Sunday services.
I will be departing for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, after the Noon service, today. There will be a Spiritual Warfare conference from Thursday through Saturday. Monday this-coming, several men will be Consecrated as Bishops for service in our South American Dioceses. Tuesday morning, the Reverend Canons Charles Hart Nalls and Joshua Arena-Gilliam will be Consecrated for service as Bishops in our domestic Church, the former as Suffragan to Archbishop Gordon, the latter as a Missionary Bishop for Spanish-language Churches, including those throughout South America. These are the first Consecrations for the American Church in a decade; thus, a great and important day in the life of Holy Church.
Please pray for the safe travel of all attending these meetings and events. Please pray for the success of them. Please pray for me, a sinner, as I and others from our Parish represent Saint Matthew's, taking vital roles in all of the foregoing. I remain
in His praise,
The Rev'd Fr. T. L. Crowder
Pastor, Saint Matthew's Parish
